NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Darren Henfield was the Member of Parliament for North Abaco when the catastrophic Category 5 Hurricane Dorian pummeled the northern Bahamas.

Four years later, there are renewed calls for a formal inquiry into the number of people lost in the storm.

But Henfield says finding that number may be easier said than done.

Still, the former MP for North Abaco is not against looking back at the handling of the disaster.

But he says while it’s important to learn from the past and to find closure for as many as possible, there are survivors that still need assistance and attention today.
