Colon Cancer: What You Need To Know
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – CEO of Ralpha Health Centre Dr. Kelafo Collie says they’re working with global labs to make cancer screening more affordable and efficient.
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Colon cancer is the third most common cancer in The Bahamas, and while a colonoscopy is the most popular form of detection for colon cancer, family practitioner and CEO of Ralpha Health Centre Dr. Kelafo Collie says they’re working with global labs to make screening more affordable and efficient.
His recommendation is to get screened yearly and says the assessment is free of charge.
While the initiative kicked off in Grand Bahama, he says the screening will be nationwide.
