GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – With an uptick in reported sex crimes, many perpetrators have been brought before the courts, but what happens to the victims of the senseless crimes?

Therapist Jessica Russell says this has been a long-standing issue, leaving sex crime victims impacted in just about every area of their life.

She says their ability to trust is also sometimes compromised, and while it can be a difficult thing to talk about, talking about it does helps.
