NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Students from schools across New Providence held a press conference with officials from the Department of Social Services to kick off Child Protection Month in April.

The press conference was held under the theme “One Nation Uniting to Protect Our Children”.

Eleven-year-old Nylah Symonette gave heartfelt remarks, speaking to the responsibility of both adults and children in the protection of our nation’s most vulnerable.

The panel featured students from St. Augustine’s College, Galilee College, the Bahamas Association for the Physically Disabled, A.F. Adderley Jr. High School., and Queen’s College.
