NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Bahamian police are “identifying” complaints against Fyre Festival Founder Billy McFarland, as he previews a new venture in The Bahamas.

McFarland’s TikTok account published a video promoting a treasure hunt that features the island of Exuma, leading some to speculate McFarland may have ventured back to The Bahamas after completing jail time associated with his failed festival.

Commissioner of Police Clayton Fernander says police have not been able to confirm if McFarland is or was in The Bahamas recently, or whether there are still outstanding complaints against him in The Bahamas.

If police find that there are unresolved complaints and McFarland is in The Bahamas, Fernander says he will be arrested and brought in for questioning.

One of the victims of the failed festival was Exuma Point Beach Bar and Grill Owner Maryann Rolle, who suggested McFarland be forgiven and allowed to return to The Bahamas in order to repay the many Exuma vendors.
